Can he kick it? Yes he can! A 16 Year old Ellowes Hall School pupil will be aiming to become the National over 16 Karate Champion this weekend, in a national competition organised by the English Karate Organisation. Mark Hollis is already a three time national champion in the 13-15 year old category. He has been training since he was nine years old, and holds a first dan black belt. For the last four years his instructor has been his dad. Mark said "I am really excited to be competing at this level, and know that I can do this". The competition will be held at Kings Heath Leisure Centre and will involve competitors from all over the UK.
