Remember the Wulfrun Echo?

Recently we published Albert Sargent's 1943 contribution to wartime propoganda, the humorous poem Eli and Hitler.

We asked readers to help us to fill out Albert's biographical details, and have received the following from Chris Phipps:

Between 1974 and 1981 I produced and presented Wulfrun Echo for BBC Radio B'ham. I recorded Albert on many occasions, including a wonderful Xmas story about Gaffer Jonty - I may still have some of the tapes.

Also I remember Malcolm Palmer who lived near Albert. He was an electronics whizz and a radio ham on the "Gornal strip2". Where is he now?

And does anyone remember the programme?

Well Chris, Malcolm is alive and well and playing his ukelele down the Straits - we'll put you in touch with him.

As for Wulfrun Echo, we know how popular Carl Chinn's Radio WM afternoon show is these days with Gornal folk, so we're sure that there must be plenty of memories of Chris's programme out there.
