Autumn Antics at Cotwall End
Cotwall Volunteer Tasks
Autumn at Cotwall End is a busy time for Anna Gorski and her intrepid
Wildspace! team.
And as ever, Anna is looking for plucky local volunteers to help with the November
tasks, which include:
Thursday 13th November 2003 11am-14.30pm Alien Invaders! Tackling invading birch, oak and willow which threaten the heather.
Sunday 16th November 2003 10.30am-13.30pm Heather Creation. Experimental cut of the heather bushes and reseeding to
increase area.
Country lovers will also wish to note a Winter Wander at Cotwall End on Saturday 22nd November from 2pm-4pm, when
Wildspace will
be explaining where wildlife goes at this barren time of year, how it adapts to the colder conditions, and how to recognise
trees from bark and buds. There will also be the opportunity to search for mammal tracks and signs.
Anna has sent Yampy these photos of volunteers hard at work, resurfacing paths and repairing stiles.
If it gets you in the mood to help, please don't forget to contact her before going along:
