Sign of the Times - Anna tries again
Full marks to Anna Gorski and her
Wildspace colleagues for resurrecting the Cotwall End Valley information sign.
A couple of months ago Councillor Stanley stopped Yampy in the street to tell us what a marvellous job had been
done on the sign, which contains interesting information about the valley, its flora and fauna and landmarks.
Cllr. Stanley predicted however that "it won't last there long", and his view turned out not to be over-cynical
because within a couple of days the plinth and design had been completely vandalised.
Not one to give up easily, Wildspace has re-instated the sign in its place at the top of the valley,
by the bench along the Coach Road. It's well worth a walk and a look - especially if you've ever wondered
'is that distant hill Malvern?' or 'who was the
Bob of Bob's Brook?'.
Well done Wildspace - let's hope it becomes a permanent feature this time.
