Gornal's future stars of stage and screen
Two Dudley teenagers are over the moon after being selected to join a top London stage school this autumn.
Daniel Ormerod of Milking Bank and Beth Sherburn from the Straits, both aged 12 and pupils at Ellowes Hall School, are
in the 25 selected out of 700 young hopefuls to join the renowned
Sylvia Young Theatre School
following a series of auditions over the last few months.
Daniel’s mum, Debbie, explains "they have both shown their ability in various productions"

Saturday group at Birmingham Hippodrome."
The offer depends on the families being able to raise the £900 per year fees as the Arts Council, LEA and various other
educational organisations will not fund places for students under 16.
Beth’s mum, Sarah, says "the funding is a real problem. We don’t want Daniel and Beth to miss out on this opportunity
and we hope that business people, entertainers, anyone will be able to help by sponsoring them."
Wendy Barnard, Head of Key Stage 3 at Ellowes Hall School has expressed her delight at the offers and wishes
them the best of luck with their fundraising.
Anyone who can sponsor the pair are asked to call 01384 351304 or 01902 682324.
