Postal voting arrangements for May elections
Dudley Council will be holding elections on 1st May 2003.
Postal voting arrangements now allow everyone the opportunity to have a postal vote whether it be a permanent arrangement,
a set period or for a particular election.
Postal votes will be sent out during the week beginning 22nd April 2003.
If you are going to be away during this time you may want to appoint someone to vote on your behalf as a proxy.
New applications to vote by post or proxy must be received by the Electoral Registration Office,
7, St. James's Road, Dudley by 5pm on Wednesday 23rd April 2003, if they are to be effective for the election held on
1st May.
Andrew Sparke, Returning Officer, said:
"Electors can get an application for a postal or proxy vote by telephoning the Election Helpline on 01384 814740
or call in to the Electoral Registration Office, 7, St. James's Road, Dudley or visit the Council's website
at www.dudley.gov.uk.
As last year we shall be printing an application form for a postal vote on the reverse of each poll card which
are being sent out over the week commencing 28th March."
