New Advice Surgery launched A new advice surgery for residents of The Oval area starts on Thursday 3rd April 2003 from 9.30 - 11.30am at Upper Gornal Pensioners Club, Kent Street, Upper Gornal. Judith Bennett, Priority Neighbourhood Manager will be there each Thursday from the above date, and says "We are looking to improve your area by dealing with issues such as your local environment, community safety, leisure and recreational facilities, job and learning opportunities and by promoting good health."
