Give Paul your support on Monday 28th April 2003
Yampy readers will already know all about Lower Gornal
father of two
Paul Hickman, who is suffering from motor neurone disease.
Paul's friends and family are moving mountains to raise funds to ease his plight, and the latest
event is at Halesowen Town's football ground next Monday evening.
A charity soccer match will take place and is expected to raise more than £1,500.
A keen footballer, Paul's ex-team mates from the 1986 Halesowen Town squad who played at Wembley,
Dudley based Malt Shovel FC and Kingswinford based Courthouse FC will fight it out starting at 7.30pm.
Ex-Wolves star Willie Carr will be playing, and there will be a raffle for a football signed by
Dave Jones' team.
Admission is by programme at £3, available from organiser Paul Garner on
07973 374267. You can also pay on the night - or if you can't get along, why not give Paul
a ring and buy a programme anyway?
