| Upper Gornal Picks Its Princesses 
Upper Gornal Voluntary Recreation Association chose its Golden Jubilee Princess
and Rosebud on Saturday 1st June. Chair of the judges was Jeff Jephcott,
Editor of the Dudley News, along with Martin and Linda Reeves of Yampy Solutions Ltd.
The judges were extremely impressed by all of the contestants, not to mention the
efforts of mums and dads, and in the end had a very difficult decision to make.
Princess will be Amanda Smith of Vicarage Road, who just shaded out Natalie
Parsons of Summerhill Road. Rosebud will be Leah Webb of Wheatstone Close,
whose assistant will be Rhianne McMahon of Enville Road.
The new Gornal royalty carried out their first duties at the Golden Jubilee
Fun Day on Saturday 29th June at Vale St. recreation grounds.
