MP welcomes Gornal Athletic 'win win' stadium plans Ross Cranston MP today welcomed the publication of proposals that Gornal Athletic Football Club will be moving from its existing stadium in Garden Walk to Ellowes Hall School. Ross said: ‘This will be ‘win-win’ for all concerned. The Club will benefit from better facilities. The School will benefit from having extra sporting facilities which will help it gain the Specialist School Status it is seeking. And the existing Garden Walk site can be redeveloped. I have spoken to both the Club and the School about their plans. I have been 100% behind them and will continue to be so to ensure their dreams and plans become reality.’
