Gornal Fun Day 28th June 2003 Mill View, Fun Day 2002 Clear your diary for the last Saturday in June, because it will be carnival time in Gornal. Last year's Golden Jubilee celebration (click here for report) was such a huge success that it has been decided to make the Fun Day an annual event, A Committeee, made up of local community representatives and voluntary organisations (plus Yampy of course!), has been meeting regularly since early January to make sure that this year will be better than ever. Among the many attractions will be a fun fair, fairground organ, face painting, morris dancers, car boot sale, and Dudley Hospital Radio roadshow. There will also be a rare chance to see inside the famous Ruiton Mill and experience the breathtaking views at the top - from the urban sprawl of the industrial West Midlands to the hills and valleys of Worcestershire and beyond.
