Calling all Dads! Go Play @ Gornal is intending to run a play-scheme for children aged 4 to 11 during four weeks of the School Summer Holiday. The play-scheme will take place over the period 28 th July to 22nd August 2003. The morning session will run from 7.45am to 1pm and the afternoon session from 1pm to 5.45pm. The fees will be £6 for a half-day and £12 for a whole day. Snacks and drinks will be available, and for children attending the whole day packed lunches will need to be provided. The Scheme will be run by qualified play-staff using the premises of the Children and Parents Zone at Roberts Primary School. A variety of play activities will be provided and there will be occasional trips out. The scheme has been organised by Go Play @ Gornal, a voluntary organisation run by local people. They have applied to OFSTED to be a registered child care provider, and have obtained funding from the New Opportunities Fund with the intention of providing a play-scheme for 9 weeks of the School Year including Half terms and Easter Holidays. The playscheme is open to all families living in the area.
