Brave Alanna in fundraising effort Congratulations to Alanna Ilkiw of Lower Gornal, who has raised more than £800 for Russell's Hall Hospital. According to the Dudley News this week, Alanna - who has successfully beaten cancer - clocked up the money during a mufti ('wear what you like') day at Ellowes Hall School, and will present the money to the hospital's Georgina Unit. Alanna now hopes to organise an event at Baggeridge Miners Club with the aim of taking the donation up to £1000 or more. Well done Alanna and everyone else who took part.
