3C Digital radio: Continuous Cool Country Music comes to Dudley
3C - Continuous Cool Country - is back in the West Midlands 24 hours a day on 105.2FM
until Sunday 30th November with its international mix of
Country pop, featuring household names like Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, and LeAnn Rimes,
as well as exciting music from the Country stars of tomorrow.
The award-winning radio station already broadcasts digitally to many areas of the country, as well as world-wide
on the internet. However, they are now bidding to win the new regional West
Midlands FM licence, being advertised by the Radio Authority in a few months' time.
As part of the competitive process the Authority requests evidence of local support for applications, and 3C
are aiming to get plenty of positive feedback from their latest trial broadcasts in our area.
A 3C Spokesperson, Production Controller John MacCalman, told Yampy:
"We had great support from the folk around Dudley when we were last on air this Spring, and we want to make the
West Midlands the home of 3C, the first FM service of its kind in the United Kingdom. We're asking
music fans to tune into 105.2FM and spread the word to friends, family and work colleagues.
Your comments on our service are very valuable in helping to prove our case to
the Radio Authority that 3C should win the licence and bring country to
the West Midlands, so please e-mail your views to
3C@3cdigital.com"
