2.The appendix is approximatley three and half inches long. If the appendices of the entire poulation of Mid Glamorgan
were sewn together end-to-end it would make a string long enough to stretch from Guys Hospital to Slough.
It would also push Wales to the forefront of Abdominal surgery.
