Men In Black 2 - Worth the Wait

Men in black suits, black ties, sunglasses, what does this image conjure up? No, not the Blues Brothers.
Yes, that’s right – the Men in Black are back, saving the earth from unfriendly extra-terrestrials once more. Yampy paid
them a visit at Dudley Showcase Cinemas and found the long-anticipated sequel to Men in Black well worth waiting for.
It was exciting, action-packed, original and full of laughs.
(I wonder, reading the review in the Express and Star on 2nd August, whether we were watching the same film!)
Will Smith was back as the cool Agent Jay and Tommy Lee Jones was back as the sophisticated Agent Kay.
The mischievous alien, Sarleena, was played by Lara Flynn Boyle who paid earth a visit looking for an artefact called
the Light of Zartha and would let nothing stand in her way in her attempt to locate it.
Of course, the only one who knew the whereabouts of the said artefact was Agent Kay, who in the last film was
‘neuralised’ so that he could spend more time with his wife.
Kay was now working as a US Postal Worker with no recollection of his days with MIB. It was Jay’s job to find Kay,
restore his memory and prevent Sarleena from wreaking havoc on earth.
If you enjoyed the first Men in Black, you will enjoy this second offering just as much, if not more.
The special effects are once again brilliant, and the aliens wonderfully scary. Look out for Agent Frank,
Jay’s faithful sidekick, who just happens to be a talking dog who loves Gloria Gaynor!
The Men in Black are back, and I, for one, am very glad. All's right with the world, and I can, once more, sleep safe
in my bed tonight.
