In just a few months, from a 'cold start' and minimal publicity, our Gornal Yampy website has achieved more than 4000 visitors
per month from 38 countries. The Yampy brand is well known, as is our unique blend of local news, history and gossip.
Our pages are frequented by a host of local politicians and community agencies, and we have campaigned successfully
on behalf of Gornal people across a range of high profile issues.
The popularity of the site has led to steadily increasing advertising and web design revenue, and we are now under pressure
to spread the Yampy philosophy of promoting 'local solutions for local needs' out to other communities.
We are therefore looking for enthusiastic people to run Yampy franchises. The ideal person will:
- Live in a large village or small town of around 10,000 - 20,000 people, probably with a recognised centre and
a sense of tradition and history.
- Have an interest in the internet and the urge to know how to develop and run a website - although lack of
technical experience is not a drawback.
- Enjoy meeting people and be able to write confidently - although formal journalistic training is not necessary.
- Have some spare time during the day, and be prepared to attend the occasional evening Council Meeting or weekend
sports match

Your income will derive mainly from basic web design for local businesses, and advertising. Our revenue comes from
a modest set up charge, a small monthly support fee, and marketing opportunities arising from the growth of our Yampy portal
as the brand expands.
